Cherry Street Health Group was founded with a simple belief: healthcare should be personal, honest, and focused on long-term outcomes—not temporary fixes.
From the very beginning, this practice has been rooted in family and community. What started on Cherry Street in 2011 was never just a business—it was a commitment to serve neighbors, friends, and families with the same care and attention we would want for our own.
As our patient family grew, so did our vision. In 2019, we moved into a modern medical facility just down the road to better support advanced diagnostics, expanded services, and a higher level of care. While our space evolved, our philosophy remained the same: listen first, identify the root cause, and build a clear path forward for every patient.
Today, Cherry Street Health Group continues to combine clinical expertise with a deeply human approach. Whether someone is struggling with neuropathy, joint pain, disc issues, or chronic discomfort, our goal is to help them feel supported, informed, and confident about their health journey—every step of the way.
Meet Dr. Bill Nolan: Your Partner and Champion
Dr. Bill Nolan
Dr. William Nolan—known as Dr. Bill to his patients—is a lifelong North Shore resident and the founder of Cherry Street Health Group. Raised in Hamilton and a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School, Dr. Bill has deep roots in the local community and a long-standing commitment to serving the people who live here.
Dr. Bill has been practicing since graduating in 2001, but he is far more than a provider—he is a partner in his patients’ health journeys. He believes that when someone is dealing with chronic pain or nerve-related conditions, they deserve a champion in their corner—someone who listens, cares deeply, and refuses to settle for temporary solutions.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine from Norwich University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. Dr. Bill’s path to chiropractic care began after a motor vehicle accident led him to seek chiropractic treatment for the first time. After care, he returned to school pain-free and noticed a surprising improvement in his exercise-induced asthma—reinforcing his belief that when the nervous system functions properly, the body can heal and perform at a higher level.
Dr. Bill earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri. After graduating in 2001, he opened his first practice in Oakville, Missouri, which quickly became one of the largest chiropractic practices in the St. Louis area. In 2007, he returned to Massachusetts and opened a second successful practice in Newburyport.
In 2011, Dr. Bill founded his practice on Cherry Street. While the office relocated in 2019 to a modern medical building designed to better serve patients, the name Cherry Street Health Group was intentionally retained as a reminder of the practice’s roots and long-standing commitment to the community.
Cherry Street Health Group was founded with a clear mission: to facilitate true health transformation by addressing the root causes of chronic pain. Dr. Bill recognized that too many people struggling with neuropathy, disc injuries, and long-standing joint or nerve pain were being offered “band-aid” solutions that failed to produce lasting results. The practice was built to identify the source of the problem and help patients regain confidence, mobility, and their future.
Dr. Bill’s philosophy is simple: healthcare should never feel rushed, cold, or impersonal. He strives to create an environment where patients feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for—where running into him at the grocery store or a local event would feel just like running into a friend.
Today, Dr. Bill leads the Cherry Street Health Group team with a commitment to excellence, ensuring the practice remains a trusted destination for advanced, non-surgical solutions for neuropathy, disc conditions, and chronic pain—especially for patients who have been told there are no other options.
Outside the office, Dr. Bill enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and cheering on his son as he competes in college baseball. Whether on the road or in the stands, family time is a priority and a source of inspiration that reinforces his commitment to helping others stay active, healthy, and fully engaged in the moments that matter most.
