5 Supplements You Should Be Taking

The truth of the matter is that it’s not easy to eat healthy in today’s fast-food fueled world.

Whether you have a demanding job, young kids with crazy schedules or a house full of picky eaters, the challenge remains the same:

How do you get more out of less when it comes to squeezing nutrients out of your food?

If the challenge sounds familiar, this is for you quick read is for you.

But first, something you need to know about me: I don’t EVER share or recommend anything:

  1. That I haven’t thoroughly researched and tested.
  2. That I and my family don’t use ourselves.

These are my basic rules, and I take them very seriously. My aim is to help you avoid all the trial and error many people frustratingly endure when seeking solutions for pain and healing.

So what are my not-so-secret keys to success that have had the biggest impact on me and my family’s health and that of many, many patients?

Proper nutrition

Truly, there may be no greater promoter or sustainer of healing and wellness than fueling your body with the right “stuff”. Doing this while rehabilitating postural issues, disc injuries, muscular imbalances and neurological deficits?

Talk about a killer combo.

Quite simply, eating whole foods is the key to health. I’m talking about right from the ground or off the tree leafy greens, fruits and a diverse mix of vegetables.

A “whole food” is something that looks on your plate much like it did while growing in nature (or pretty close to it).

Why whole foods?

Because these beauties grow with everything perfectly formulated just for your body.

The nutrients and fiber in whole fruit, vegetables, nuts or seeds need no genetic modification.

As the saying goes…”Don’t mess with Mother Nature”.

Your body runs most efficiently on food in its original state…or as close to it as possible.

This means that when your body sees oily, greasy foods making its way into your system, it has to work that much harder (not to mention there’s zero nutritional value in a Sun Chip, no matter how “earthy” the packaging may look).

OK, so we know whole foods are the way to go, but even the best diets need a little boost. Why? Because there are some vitamins and nutrients we either cannot get, or get enough of in our diet.

In some instances, this is because you just can’t eat enough foods in the day to get the proper amount, and in others, the nutrient just doesn’t exist there.

The 5 Essential Nutrients

  1. Probiotics [Digestive Health]

Enzymes & robust probiotics are critical to gut health, immune function and even mental health. This supplement contains NINE of the most essential species of beneficial bacteria that are dangerously deficient in today’s Western diets (due to pesticides, herbicides, industrial farming, etc.). This easy to take capsule is derived from 100% vegetarian culture and contains no dairy, goat’s milk, soy, wheat or corn. Give your gut the kickstart it needs by re-introducing the necessary, healthy bacterias required for optimal health and vitality!

  1. Omega-3 [Depression Buster]

Omega 3 Essential Fatty acids are crucial for heart, brain and mood health but difficult to get in plant form. Naturally occurring without any artificial concentration, this supplement is aligned with the human genetic requirements and provides maximal health and prevention benefits. Validated through 3rd party auditors, each dose contains EPA & DHA omega 3 essential fatty acids scientifically shown to to be crucial in the fight against heart disease, arthritis, ADD, depression, stroke, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, Crohns disease, Alzheimers and more! Arm yourself with this essential supplement!

  1. Core Greens [Whole Foods Boost]

The verdict has long been in that the best diets include a healthy, daily intake of numerous fruits and vegetables. The downside? It can be a tough task to find the time to both prep and eat the recommended 5 to 9 daily servings. Enter, Core Greens. High in chlorophyll, this antioxidant rich green pigment helps build healthy cells while supporting immune function. Easily consumed with a glass of water each day, you’ll feel energized and confident in knowing you’re hitting your fruit and vegetable goals!

4. Vitamin D [Immune Booster]

The issue of Vitamin D deficiency as a major causal factor in immune system related illnesses ranging from seasonal cold and flu, to heart disease, to cancer, to atopic and autoimmune disorders has received a lot of attention in the last few years. Clinical journals as well as the mainstream media have been reporting evidence that modern industrialized humans are severely deficient in Vitamin D and that this deficiency is a major contributing factor to illness and lack of health and vitality.

5.  Magnesium

More than 80% of all adults are deficient in this vital mineral which plays an essential role in cardiovascular health, helps calm nerves, increases energy, relieves muscle aches and much more. Found in foods like spinach, swiss chard, black beans, almonds and bananas, many healthcare professionals suggest supplementing your diet with a magnesium food-based supplement.

Ok, those are the big ones.

Remember, I recommend only those supplements that complement–not replace–whole foods.
